| Step # 1, Window Panel Removal |
|
| When
the rear window of the my 71 nova was removed, rust was found
as expected. Several spots were rusted clear through and several
other spots were well pitted (shown in the first picture). Since,
I was unable to weld up the holes, I chose to replace the entire
panel. This panel sits between the rear window and the trunk.
When the trunk is closed, this panel is completely hidden. This
area is usually referred to as the Package tray area. The second
picture (bottom right) shows this piece almost cut out. |

This
is the remaining panel underneath. This will need to be clean
and painted to prevent and stop the rust. |
| Step # 3, Installing
the new panel |
|
|
Here
is the new panel purchased from J&W
Nova Parts.

The
new panel is set in place ready to be secured. |
